The message this morning is THE PENTECOSTAL EFFECT! What difference or effect does the Baptism of the Holy Spirit have on a person…as well as on congregation! Last week we talked about “WHAT” the Pentecostal Experience is…this week I want you to understand “WHY” it is important! So, today I want you to understand JUST 3 of the Pentecostal Effects!

This morning I want to talk to you about the Forgotten Kingdom! When Jesus came to earth...He spent a lot of time talking about the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of Heaven. Those are interchangeable terms. He wanted people to understand the basic truths about God’s kingdom. Jesus would often say the kingdom of God is at hand! He told the 12 disciples…to preach that “The Kingdom” was at hand...meaning it was near or that some aspect of it was already here! AND…and…that would or should cause people to ask this question…”If the Kingdom of God is at hand or if it is near…then I need to decide…“How am I going to live?” or “How does that impact me?”

This morning, I want to talk to you about the FORGOTTEN PRESENCE. Many Christ Followers forget the presence of Christ that lives/dwells in them! Did you know…that if you are following Christ...you never have to go “somewhere” to “get in” the presence God...you simply need to allow HIS presence...which is HIS Spirit...to saturate your life. For us to have a Spirit saturated life...we need to “be with” Jesus.

Today, I want to talk with you about THE FORGOTTEN PEOPLE. Who are the forgotten that people? The forgotten people…are the people…that we may “see” on a regular basis…but we do not “see” them! They are overlooked. They are the people that Jesus loves…and the people that we should love. The problem is...we forget that they exist.

OBEDIENCE is very important in our lives. Now, I am not talking about blind obedience! I am talking about obedience that is founded in love and wisdom. On this morning…as we celebrate the resurrection…it is important that we understand…how the obedience of Jesus has changed the world! You see…He was obedient to God the Father! His obedience…makes it possible for us to have our sins forgiven! His obedience makes it possible for us to be in right relationship with God! His obedience makes it possible for us…all of us…to receive God’s blessings in our lives! That is why His obedience so important!
